2019 Honda Insight

Honda has recently released the all-new 2019 Insight, which has a sleek exterior and will save you plenty of money on fuel. It’s one of the cars that has been manufactured by the automaker to be more eco-conscious for those who want to reduce their carbon footprint. When you want to learn more about the vehicle, there are a few key facts to understand.

American-Made

The 2019 Honda Insight is U.S.-built from top to bottom, including the battery pack and engine. The car is built on the Civic platform and is a cross between the Accord and the Civic. The hood is similar to the Accord because it’s constructed out of aluminum with a grille that also mimics the Accord.

The vehicle comes with a 106.3-inch wheelbase with plenty of space inside of the cabin that mimics the Civic but is plusher. Due to its soft instrument-panel trim, leather upholstery, and seven-inch TFT display, the interior resembles a luxury vehicle with the premium materials and features that are included.

The trunk is 15-cubic-feet and can hold longer items due to the folding rear seats, which is standard in the Insight.

Technology

The 2019 Honda Insight comes standard with the Honda Sensing suite of active-safety systems, which includes automated emergency braking, traffic-sign recognition, lane-departure warning, and road-departure mitigation. A multi-angle rearview camera eliminates blind spots and can also reduce the risk of a collision while improving driver confidence.

For added comfort, the Insight also offers an eight-inch infotainment display, heated side mirrors, a power sunroof, dual-zone climate control, power-adjustable heated front seats, and premium audio. Drivers can also take advantage of 4G LTE mobile hotspot compatibility to stay connected to the Internet while on the road. The latest generation of HondaLink subscription services will also be available to consumers.

Performance

The Honda Insight is built with a two-motor hybrid system with each motor performing different functions. The traction motor is geared towards the differential and the second motor is used for the gasoline engine with a clutch. Honda has stated that the gasoline engine can turn off while the car is running in some conditions, which increases fuel efficiency. The car model also has the top power-to-weight ratio in its class.

The car drives smoothly despite its power and offers excellent handling on winding roads. The vehicle is also built with a sports mode by altering the power source.

Insight

The cabin in the 2019 Honda Insight is upscale and includes plenty of room in the front and rear seats. Soft-touch materials are used, and the layout on the dashboard is simple, making it easy to find controls and buttons without becoming distracted. A significant amount of visibility is also provided in the front and back seats, which creates an interior setting that is thoughtful.

Exterior

The exterior of the new Honda Insight has a unique design that differs than similar Honda models and has a futuristic design that is modern and edgy. The car resembles a luxury vehicle with dramatic rear taillights and sharp rims that look like they’re in motion due to their design. The grille is oversized and is the focal point of the front of the vehicle, but is minimal, which allows the exterior of the car to look sleek.
