What's New for the 2018 Honda Ridgeline?
For the 2018 model year, there has been a bit of a shakeup in the Honda Ridgeline with the elimination of RTS trim. However, there are two great new colors for you to enjoy and changes in the availability of all-wheel drive. This year the RT trim is only being offered in front-wheel drive and the Sport trim is now available in White Diamond Pearl and Lunar Silver Metallic instead of just black.
As with last year, the 2018 Honda Ridgeline is offered in a four-door crew cab as the only body-style available. However, there are no less than six different trim levels for you to choose from. Power comes in the form of a 35.L V6 engine that pumps out a very healthy 280 load hauling horsepower. It is still mated to a stout 6-speed automatic transmission. All models with the exception of the RT can be purchased with all-wheel drive.
Exterior
One of the great things about the 2018 Honda Ridgeline and why so many people love this vehicle is that it is pickup truck that doesn't look like one. The Ridgeline offers all of the creature comforts of a luxury SUV along with a dual-action tailgate that opens in the standard way we are all used to. But at the same time, it can be set to open sideways like a car door for convenient access. Those who choose the RTL-E or Black Edition will gain a few extra goodies. Among these are a power sunroof, a 120V outlet in the bed, a power sliding rear window, and LED headlights that feature automatic high-beams.
Interior
When it comes to ride comfort in the world of pickup trucks, there is simply no competition. Inside, you will find ample space for the driver and passengers alike. Getting in and out of this luxurious interior is made simpler due to a ride height that is lower than most of the Ridgeline's competition. The tilt/telescoping steering is replete with easy to use controls.
Both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto® can be used with the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This system offers full wireless connectivity for audio and phone, USB, voice interface for audio, navigation, and phone use. On top of all of this, when you fold the back seat up, you have room for your favorite mountain bike or street cruiser.
