The base 2018 Honda CR-V LX is equipped with a 2.4-liter I-4 engine putting out 184 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. All other trim levels come with a 1.5-liter turbo-4 good for 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque. Both engines mate to an efficient automatic continuously variable transmission that features a Sport mode for additional responsiveness. Driving the CR-V is a pleasure, thanks to its comfortable ride, quiet interior and easy handling.
Appearance
The CR-V has a wide, long stance with aggressive design features and a high ground clearance. A hands-free power tailgate is available, as are LED headlights, a moonroof, roof rails, dual-chrome exhaust outlets and rain-sensing windshield wipers. The roomy interior includes 60/40-split rear seats that fold when you pull a simple lever. The rear floor can be configured flat or lowered to secure large objects. The driver?s seat provides an excellent view and all controls fall naturally to hand. Interior options include heated front seats, leather seating surfaces, navigation, and a 9-speaker, 330-watt premium infotainment system.
Safety
